| We be honest pirates, and believe that the products that we make and sell be represented to the best of our ability, both visually and in written description. Some of the swag be made in other ports of trade and we do our best to represent it also. As such we do not accept returns for items that "are not what I expected". |  |
We do accept returns for products that be defective on our end (which is rare). Call for a return authorization before sending any package back.
Due to the custom Nature of both Our Furniture Business and our Haberdashery, we do not accept returns on products that have been made to your specifications. This be "Custom Work".
We do accept cancellations up to the time that your order goes into production. Once wood be cut, or a felt be stretched, the order be in production and cannot be canceled.
Shipping to Yer Home Port
As for Hats and smaller items: Shipping charges calculated on the website be for Domestic (within the USA) Shipping only. Additional shipping charges do apply to International orders. Ye will be contacted via PayPal Invoice for the Shipping Balance Due.

All items leave our Port whole and working. We assume no responsibility for items damaged in transit. We will file the damage claim on yer behalf and work with ye and the carrier to reach a quick resolution. Placing an order with The Pirate Trading Co. signifies yer acceptance of our terms.
Shipping Weapons
We ship using UPS ground whenever possible. There are many forms of delivery out there, and we have found UPS to be the most reliable and cost effective way to deliver goods. With the price of oil going through the roof, UPS has once again gone up on their rates, so effective in January 2008 we had to raise shipping charges to keep up with UPS. Shipping costs are entirely out of our control.
The new rates are as follows:
Shipping for a single pistol: $25
Shipping for a pair of pistols: $30
Shipping for a short musket (3rd Model Bess, Ship's Carbine, Baker, Enfield): $35
Shipping for a long musket (basically everything else): $40
For all other goods or multiple gun orders, we will estimate shipping costs based on the size and weight of the item. Two long muskets can often ship together for the price of one.
UPS offers free tracking of all packages. If you haven't recieved your package within a reasonable time period, send an email, and we will forward the tracking number to you.
Shipping Pirate Threads (T-Shirts and Such)
How long until my order gets shipped?
Our standard current time until we ship out an order is 2-10 business days - that's BUSINESS days me buckos (mon-friday. [we try not to make our overworked crew work on the weekends!] (we're always working to speed up our shipping process - but we are getting a LOT of orders right now).
We often CAN expedite an order if you really need it for a special ocassion - please email us and ask if you NEED it sooner. We also often arrange for special shipping options for thems what gotta have it now - yarrr!
Note: 2XL & 3XL sizes can *sometimes* take up to an extra week to ship.
Why the long wait, savvy?
If ye be ordering a handmade, hand painted piece of furniture with real piratitude there be about 4 weeks wait. This be due to the large variety of styles, materials, stains, and colors that make your furniture selection a true custom work of art and the labor intense nature of woodworking.
If ye be ordering a Captain Jack's Pirate Hats Please Note:
Due to the large variety of styles, materials, colors, treatments, sizes and accessories, I do not stockpile or warehouse me hats. Ye be not getting a hat what be mass-produced in a factory overseas. I make all of me hats, me self, by hand, to the specifications picked by the customer.
There be about eight weeks of hat orders already ahead of yers in me production queue. Me work be in high demand and there be a wait. I can assure ye that the wait be worth it. If ye have doubts please read me reviews and testimonials page.
